# Adding a new room type

Learn how to create a new Room Type (e.g., Standard, Luxury, Family) and define the number of units available for that category.

Creating **Room Types** is the foundation of your inventory. This is where you define the different categories of accommodation you offer, such as "Standard Room," "Family Villa," or "Honeymoon Suite."

## **How to add a room type**

1.  **Sign in** to your **User Account** and access your listing.
    
2.  Click the **Rooms** tab in the top navigation bar.
    
3.  Click the **\+ Add Room** button.
    
4.  Enter the essential details for this category:  
        ◦ **Room Name:** Give it a clear marketing name (e.g., “River View Suite”).  
        ◦ **Description:** Write a compelling description that highlights the unique features of this room.  
       ◦ **Number of Units:** Enter the total quantity of this specific room type you have on the property.  
       ◦ **Guides/Staff Room (optional):** If this room is only for guides, drivers, or staff, tick “This room is for guides/staff.” It will only be visible to Tour Operators and Agents.
    
5.  Click **Save**.
    

> **Warning:** Be descriptive with your **Room Name**. This is what **Tour Operators and Agents** will see when selecting a room for a quote. "Family Tent with Pool" is much more helpful than just "Tent B."
