# Adding bedrooms to a room type

Learn how to define sleeping spaces. Configure the Default bedroom, set Max occupancy, add Bed layouts, and use Add Another Bedroom for family suites.

Once you have created a **Room Type** (e.g., "Family Villa"), you need to define the physical layout of the sleeping areas inside it. Every **Room Type** contains at least one "Bedroom." For standard rooms (like a luxury tent), you simply configure the default space. For multi-room units (like a Family Villa), you will add additional bedrooms to define separate sleeping areas.

> **Info:** Even if your room is a standard open-plan tent or hotel room, you must still configure the **"Default bedroom"** to define the occupancy.

## **Configuring the primary bedroom**

1. **Sign in** and click the **Rooms** tab.

2. Click **Edit** on the **Room Type** you wish to update.

3. Scroll to the **Bedrooms** section.

4. You will see a line labeled **Bedroom1**. Click **Edit name** (green text) to change it to something specific like "Master Bedroom" or "Main Tent."

5. Set the **Max occupancy** for this specific room in the box on the right (e.g., "2").

6. Under **What kind of beds are in this room?**, select the bed type from the dropdown (e.g., King, Twin).

7. Enter the **Nr. of beds** (e.g., "1").

8. If the room has mixed bedding (e.g., a King and a Single), click **\+ Add another bed** to add the second type.

9. Click **Save** if this is a single-room unit.

> **Warning:** Setting the **Max occupancy** here is critical. It tells the system how many people can physically sleep in this specific room space.

## **Adding a second bedroom (For Units that have more than one bedroom)**

If you are setting up a unit with multiple sleeping areas (e.g., a family suite with a separate room for children):

1. Scroll to the very bottom of the Bedrooms section.

2. Click **\+ Add Another Bedroom**.

3. Repeat the process from **Step 4** (renaming the new room) to configure the second sleeping area (e.g., "Children's Room").
