In the Accommodation Platform, you can define Alternative Bed Layouts for your rooms. This feature is used when a single physical room can be configured in multiple ways.
Why use this feature?
Most rooms have a Standard Bed Layout (e.g., a King bed). However, many lodges offer the flexibility to split that King bed into two Single beds upon request.
It is not a new room: This does not create extra inventory. It tells Tour Operators and Agents that the same room can be converted to suit different clients (e.g., a couple vs. friends sharing).
Inventory Management: By using this feature, you avoid the mistake of creating two separate room types (one Double, one Twin) which would mess up your availability count.
How to add an alternative layout
Sign in to your User Account and access your listing.
Click the Rooms tab.
Click the Edit button (pencil icon) on the Room Type you wish to update.
Scroll down to the Bedrooms section.
Below your Standard Bed Layout, click the green link + Add alternative bed layout for this room.
Under What kind of beds are in this room?, select the bed type from the dropdown (e.g., King, Twin).
Enter the Nr. of beds (e.g., "1").
If the room has mixed bedding (e.g., a King and a Single), click + Add another bed to add the second type.
Click Save.
